Parent Dojo Protocol

We at Japanese Karate Academy encourage and appreciate the parent participation and support; however, we have certain policies we would like all parents to abide by:

1. Parents must maintain a proper and respectful behavior at all times.

2. Negative comments, foul language and disrespectful behavior will NOT be tolerated.

3. Consumption of alcohol and drugs at ANY Japanese Karate Academy school is strictly prohibited. Detection of the use of alcohol or drugs at ANY Japanese Karate Academy school or event is grounds for immediate dismissal.

4. Appropriate and respectful attire is expected at all Japanese Karate Academy schools and events.

5. If at any time you have concerns or complaints regarding any matter, please make sure to approach the instructor or program director in a respectful manner and in private.

6. If you have any concerns about any instructor's behavior or approach, make sure that you discuss your concern in private with the instructor.

7. Do not interrupt, interfere, or correct your child's technique while your child is in class. Please leave this task to the instructor. This behavior will only confuse the child and disrupt class.

8. Showing temper or criticizing your child on the school premises for any reason is "strictly" unacceptable.

9. If you have any complaints or concerns about another student or parent, please bring this matter to our attention first; once again, in private.

"Praise in public, correct in private."
