Student Dojo Protocol

 

1. All titles and ranks will be recognized in and out of the Dojo.

2. The Dojo hierarchy is to be strictly followed and will be enforced, failure to do so, will result in immediate consequences.

3. The wearing of patches, on Gi, jackets, or hats, promoting other organizations or schools, is strictly forbidden.

4. There is only one teacher on the floor. Unless you are specifically asked by the highest-ranking instructor to assist, you should be training along with the rest of the class.

5. It is the duty of the lower ranking black belts to see to the needs of their superiors in and out of the Dojo.

6. It is the responsibility of the student (especially black belts) to apply themselves to the limit of their ability to achieve excellence in the teachings of their Sensei.

7. Black belts should never visit another Dojo or attend a tournament without Sensei's permission.

8. It is the black belt's responsibility to come to Sensei for training, not the other way around.

9. Laziness and lack of personal commitment to training will result in a demotion of rank. No exceptions.

10. All testing fees for certificates carrying the Japanese Karate Academy name will go directly to the Academy.
